What
if I already have a program that opens zips?
You may
already have a zip program installed on your
computer, open up your Control Panel > Add
or Remove Programs to get a complete list of
what is installed on your computer. If you see
one of these listed programs then you may
simply need to open the program and change the
settings to make the program quick to deal
with the zips you download.
So
I have my zip program - how do I download
files I want to install?
If you see something you like, click on its
preview picture to save the zip to your
computer. All our zips include all the parts
required for the file to work so you do not
need to look elsewhere for meshes.
Where
do I extract the files to once I've downloaded
the zips?
Once
the zip download for the file you want has
completed you then need to unzip the contents,
some types of items you may need to 'run' to
install them, others simply need to be placed
in the correct folder on your computer.
We have
FULL instructions for individual sections which you can
access by clicking on the appropriate link below or by
going back to the FAQ main page
and choosing the topics from the 'ADDING DOWNLOADS TO YOUR
GAME' section. No, we can't come over to your house and
install your files for you!

I'm
trying to open a particular zip, but I'm
getting a message that the archive is empty or
corrupt - what should I do?
First
try downloading the file again, it could be that the
download didn't fully complete if the site is particularly
busy. If you are using a Download manager such as WGet or
FDM then please do turn those off when you download from
us, not only are they anti-social because they rack up
massive amounts of bandwidth costs for us, by they also
have a habit of breaking zip files.
If
you're sure that the zip still isn't behaving as expected
then let
me know what the zip name, a brief description of the
file or which page of the site its on (the URL of the
photo or the zip itself is also fine) and I will
investigate and fix it as appropriate!
I
already have a zip program installed but I
can't get the zips I've downloaded to open
with it because they are opening with a
different program that doesn't support them?
This
is quite a common problem - we have a help topic that
covers this issue here - although
installing a new zip program or reinstalling your existing
zip program is also one way that can often clear up the
problem easily too.
I'm
trying to open a particular zip, but it asks
me for a password!
Our
zips are not password protected, although I haven't been
able to test out this issue for myself, at the moment my
assessment is that it is caused by Windows Vista users
trying to open zip files with the Microsoft File Manager.
The File Manager Wizard isn't really designed to deal with
zips, I'd recommend installing a proper zip program and associating
your zip files with it so you can use that to open any
zips you download.
