How do I add Complete Sims to The Sims 2

Complete Sims are downloadable characters which include any make-up, clothing, hairstyle, accessories shown in one single download.

Often you will find complete Sims contain 2 different types of files. One part is a self-installing sims2pack file which contains the Sim itself, you might also find separate package files in the zip, usually meshes. If your Sim has these extra package files then you will need to install both types of files properly in order for your Sim to look as they are supposed to.

Step One: installing the sims2pack file sims2pack file

Extract the contents of the ZIP to anywhere on your computer then double click on the sims2pack file

Wait... when you see the blue box, choose Install - at the second confirmation screen click OK - if there are other items in the zip make sure you install those too or your Sim will have things missing! If there are no extra files then you Sim is now fully installed and ready for use in game. You can also install Sims using the Clean Pack Installer in the same way that you would use it to install a house file.

Step One: installing any included package files

Extract the contents of the ZIP to the folder shown

If you do not have a Saved Sims folder then simply create one in the location shown above and add your files to it

Do not put Skins items in sub-folders within your Downloads or Saved Sims folders
