| If
you are ever stuck on what a particular symbol
means, either on the menu or any of the instruction
or information buttons around the site, simply hover your mouse over it
to get a quick text reminder! |
Our
menu (the bars at the top of the site
underneath the Google link unit advert) is
dividied into 2 parts. When you enter the site
you'll just the site main overall menu, this
has links to the Sims 1 & 2 Content
sections.
There are also links to our Community Links
& Finds, our Guest books and of course
this FAQ area. If
you click on any of the Content Sections a
second layer will appear under the menu which
has buttons for all the sub-sections. Each
represents a different style or type of item
and clicking on them will take you to the
first page in the selection of that type of
content. For
example, in our Sims 2 Furniture section you
can find sub-sections such as living rooms,
bathrooms, kitchens etc. If you click on the
Kitchen icon it'll take you to the newest
Kitchen set. If you then decide you want to
look at some clothes simply go to the top main
menu and click on the clothing icon to have a
look around the Sims 2 Fashion section.
| If
you see something you like when browsing
through the content click
on the preview photograph to download
the item shown, our Furniture sections for
both Sims 1 & 2 have additional set zips
where you can download all the items on that
page in one single zip.
Do check the item
requirements,
everything is labeled to show if it needs an
Expansion pack and some items have additional
instructions which will be clickable buttons
in the item information. |
Our
files are in a zip format so they are quicker
to download - if you need help
with zip files we have a topic here in the FAQ
which details various available zip clients
(yes there are some good free options) and
some basic instructions on how to use them.
| Nearly
all other Sims
community sites have the same file formats and
the same method for installing files so once
you've got the process down you should find it
pretty quick and easy to add all sorts of
custom content to your Sims game. |
Once
you've downloaded a zip to your computer you
will need to know how to install it into your
game, again we have instructions
for all the different types of files we have
here available in our FAQ
depending on what type of item you are
installing.
