Can I clone/recolour your Sims 2 Objects?

Our Sims 2 new mesh objects can be cloned or recoloured for publication as FREE or PAY files provided the following terms are met:-

The original base mesh object may be included with your object download as long as a link back to http://www.parsimonious.org is given by the download

If you choose NOT to include the mesh with your download please link to the PAGE that the original item appears on (do not link directly to our zips). Please make sure the page link IS to the original set and not a recolour that happens to include the base mesh. If you're not sure which page you should be linking to please ask before you publish :)

Please do NOT include a read-me file for our object meshes

What about new mesh objects that are CLONED from an object made by a non-Parsimonious artist on another site?

You can recolour such objects BUT they can only be published FREE - additionally you should follow the credit link provided by such objects to check if the author of the original object requires credit for their contribution to the item in question (usually!).

We only have 2 or 3 such items out of 1200+ objects in our Furniture section, details will be provided in the single item download information.

How do I know which NEW MESH items are Parsimonious objects?

Where the object has the New Mesh Custom Content Flower and NO credit link is listed it is a Parsimonious new mesh item and therefore the above policy applies, i.e.

Any recolours of our new mesh objects will have a credit link to Parsimonious but if you're sending visitors to us to get the mesh, please make sure you link to the original and not the recolour. If you can't find the original please ask and we'll give you the appropriate link.

Can I recolour your separate recolours for Maxis, Parsimonious or other site's objects?

If you want to alter the colour or style of a stand-alone recolour posted here on Parsimonious that is OK provided the terms stated at the top of this page are met.

Please note that if the recolour in question uses a Custom NEW MESH that we did not make you will need to check the policy of whoever made that mesh before including it with your recolour.

For example: if you wanted to recolour the file shown below, you would need to follow the credit link to Avalon to check with them before including their mesh with your download
