Donating To Parsimonious

Since 2008 I no longer accept visitor donations.

There are 2 basic reasons for this decision:

  • I never received enough money to really make much of an impact on our costs
  • Certain other community sites felt that soliciting donations at all meant this was a pay website and as such they felt entitled to steal our content, harrass and threaten our resident artists (even though Parsimonious has never ever had donor exclusives or in fact sold downloads of any kind)

    • If you wish to make a contribution towards our financial well-being then you can allow adverts to be shown when you visit this site by unblocking them in your web browser. We don't have any pop-ups and I am careful about which advertising networks we do business with and what types of ads we show so there is very little chance that they will negatively impact your ability to use the site, or (more importantly) your online safety.

    Unblocking site adverts is especially useful if you live in the USA, Canada or Western Europe.

    If you've already allowed ads when visiting us but would like to do more then the most useful thing you can do is to let other Simmers know about our little site. Spreading the word and finding us new visitors is the best thing for our long term survival.
